You can find us in Kandivali West at Shop No E/603, which is part of the R N A Regency building. It is a quiet residential area compared to the main roads, so we see a lot of the same faces every day. Most of the people who come by live right upstairs or in the buildings next door. We spend a good chunk of the morning just arranging the items on the shelves so they don't look too cluttered. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be careful about where we put the new stock when it arrives on Tuesdays. There is a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and the pens, and it usually has a few half-finished cups of tea sitting on it. The air conditioner works well enough, but it makes a rattling sound when it first kicks in. We like to keep the door open when the weather is nice to let a bit of a breeze in, even if it means some of the street noise comes with it. The floor is a plain grey color that hides the dirt fairly well until we mop it at the end of the night. We don't really have a big team, just a few of us who take turns sitting behind the counter and talking to the neighbors. It feels like a very normal part of the local community around here, and we just keep things running as best as we can.
