Anna Leela Restaurant

Our place is on the ground floor of the Shivlal Motilal building at 305 Bellais Road. We are right across from the S T Depot in Mumbai Central. If you know that area, you know how hectic it can be. There are buses coming and going at all hours and the Mumbai Central station is nearby too. We get a lot of people who are waiting for their bus or just getting off a train. The shop is simple and doesn't have any of those modern fancy designs you see in malls. We like it that way. It feels like the old Mumbai. We have been here at 400008 for a long time. The staff here has seen the neighborhood change, but our little spot stays mostly the same. We have a few tables where people can sit and rest their legs. It’s a ground floor shop, so you don’t have to climb any stairs. Bellais Road is always full of life. We spend our time cleaning the tables and making sure we are ready for the next wave of customers. There is no corporate office behind us, just a few local guys running the show. We don't promise anything special, we just keep the doors open and do the work. It’s a honest spot in a very busy part of the city, and we hope the people who eat here feel like they got a square meal.
