Ankita Industies

If you head down to Wagle Industrial Estate, you can find Ankita Industies at 41459 Shivaji Nagar. It’s a busy part of Thane where everyone is always in a hurry. The estate is a maze of buildings and small factories, but we have been in this spot for quite a while. Our daily routine involves a lot of manufacturing work. There are machines that need constant attention and a lot of raw materials arriving at the back door. It is a noisy environment with the sound of metal hitting metal all day. We don't wear suits or anything like that; we are mostly in work clothes that can take a bit of a beating. The office part is just a small corner with a single computer and a lot of ledgers. We don't have many meetings, we just talk across the floor when something needs to be done. The electricity goes out sometimes, and then everything gets very quiet until the generator kicks in. We have a small tea stall nearby where we get our morning and afternoon drinks. It’s a tough environment but it feels honest. We make sure the output is consistent, and that is about all we worry about during the week. Saturdays are for cleaning up and getting the machines ready for the next round. It is a lot of sweat and hard work, but it keeps us going.
