The shop has been at 39 Masjid for a while now. Most days it is just about getting the shutters up and seeing who walks in from the street. We have shelves filled with all sorts of things, mostly small stuff that people pick up when they need a quick present or something for the house. It gets a bit dusty because of the traffic outside, so there is always some cleaning to do. Sometimes people come in just to look around while they wait for someone else. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just a regular shop where you can find cards, some toys, and maybe some glass items. The space isn't huge, so things are packed in pretty tight. You have to be careful walking between the aisles if you have a big bag. Most of the regulars live nearby and we know them by face. It is a simple life here. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the world go by through the front door. Other times, like during festivals, it gets quite cramped. We try to keep things organized but sometimes boxes end up stacked in the corner for a few days. It is not perfect, but it works for us. We just keep doing what we do every day. There isn't much more to it than that. Just a local spot where you can grab a gift without making a big deal out of it.
