Our office is in SEEPZ, specifically in units 106 and 107 of the SDF IV building. SEEPZ is a different kind of place compared to the rest of Mumbai. It’s got all those security gates and fences, and it feels very industrial and quiet once you get inside. We have been here for a long time, and the office reflects that. It’s a large space, but it’s filled with rows of desks and a lot of people tapping away at keyboards. The air conditioning is always running, which is a relief from the humidity outside. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls, just some old calendars and maybe a few posters that have been there for years. The SDF buildings are all quite similar, so you have to remember which floor you are on. Lunchtimes are usually spent in the canteen or walking around the complex if the weather isn't too bad. Mastek has grown over the years, but the daily grind remains the same. We deal with a lot of data and software stuff, so the office is usually filled with the sound of quiet chatter and clicking mice. It isn't a flashy place. It’s just a solid, functional workspace where a lot of technical work gets done. Most of us have been making the commute to SEEPZ for years, so the routine is second nature. We just show our passes, go to our floor, and get started.
