Amrit Corporation is located right in the middle of the action at Parekh Market in Opera House. Specifically, we are at number 119. If you've ever walked through Parekh Market, you know it's a labyrinth of small offices and people constantly on the move. We’ve been here for quite some time, and our office is pretty much what you’d expect for this area. It’s functional and strictly for business. We don't have a lot of space for anything other than our work tables and the safes. Most of our day is spent handling diamond parcels and meeting with traders. There is always a pot of tea being shared somewhere and the sound of people negotiating in the hallways. It’s not a fancy place, and we don't try to make it seem like one. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to worry about that. We know most of the neighbors, and there’s a real sense of community in this building despite everyone being competitors in a way. We just try to stay organized and keep up with the pace of the market. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk, while other days we barely have time to eat lunch. That’s just the nature of working in the diamond hub at Opera House. We’re just regular people doing our jobs in a very busy corner of the city.
