If you look for us, we are down in Rajgad Chwal over in Maharashtra Magar, Mankhurd. It is a busy part of Mumbai, and being in the construction business means we are always on the move. Most of our time isn't actually spent sitting in the office; we are usually out at different sites with bricks, sand, and cement. Our home base in the chawl is where we keep our records and meet up to plan the next day’s work. Construction is hard work and it gets messy, especially during the monsoon months when everything turns to mud. We have a crew that knows how to handle the rough parts of building and fixing things up. We started small in Mankhurd 400088 and just kept going from there. It is not a glamorous life, just a lot of sweat and heavy lifting. We deal with regular folks who want to add a room or fix a wall, and we also take on some bigger projects when they come our way. People around the chawl know us by name, and we like it that way. We don't have fancy brochures or a big website. We just show up, do the building work, and move on to the next job. It's about making sure the structures are solid and the walls are straight. That is what keeps us busy all year round and pays the bills for the families working here.
