Amit Desai Associates is tucked away in Room No 7, Plot No 125 on a busy road in Goregaon West. If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded Goregaon can get. Our office is in one of those buildings that has seen a lot of years. It is a small room, but we have made it work for our needs. There are files everywhere because we haven't quite mastered the paperless thing yet. The road noise outside is constant, but it becomes like background music after a while. We don't have a fancy lobby. You just walk in and we are right there. Usually, there is a lot of tea drinking and talking going on. We handle our associates' business with a lot of focus, even if the space is a bit tight. The fan on the ceiling wobbles a little, but it keeps the air moving. We have been at this Goregaon West address for quite some time. We know the tea seller downstairs and the guy who delivers the mail. It is a very local way of doing business. We don't have a website that looks like it cost a fortune. We just have our names and our work. Some days are stressful when deadlines are close, but we manage to get through it together. It is a small team and we treat each other like family. That is just how life is here at Plot No 125.
