Amish Enterprises

Amish Enterprises is tucked away at 123 Narayan Dhuru Street. We are up on the 2nd floor, so you have to head up the stairs which are usually a bit cramped with boxes from the other businesses in the building. This whole street in Mumbai is always packed with people and carts moving hardware back and forth. It’s a loud place, and you can hear the horns from the street even when the windows are shut. Our office is fairly small and mostly filled with stacks of files and samples of the stuff we handle. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It is just a workspace where we sit and handle the orders that come in throughout the day. Usually, there is a lot of talking on the phones and writing down lists of what needs to go out next. It’s the kind of place where you have to move a chair just to get to the filing cabinet. We have been operating from this floor for quite some time now. We know the neighbors and the guys who deliver the tea every afternoon. It’s not a quiet life, but it’s the way this market works. We stay busy with the paperwork and making sure the deliveries get to the right people downstairs on the street. It’s just us doing our daily work in a very crowded, energetic part of the city.
