We’re based at 9 Ram Shyam Nivas, which is on Sitla Devi Temple Road in Mahim West. It’s a pretty easy spot to find if you know where the temple is. The area has that classic Mumbai feel, where everything is a bit tight but everyone manages to get around anyway. We’ve got this joint venture going on, and this is where we handle all the administrative bits and pieces. The building, Ram Shyam Nivas, is an older one, so it has a lot of character. You can hear the sounds of the road and the temple bells sometimes, which is actually kind of nice when you’re stuck doing paperwork. We don’t have a big corporate setup with glass walls or anything. It’s just a couple of rooms with some desks and filing cabinets that are probably too full. Usually, we start our day with a bit of a chat about the commute, since Mahim traffic can be a real headache. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee, though most of us prefer going out for a quick walk to stretch our legs. There’s always someone coming or going, either a delivery or just someone stopping by to drop off some documents. We try to keep things organized, but it’s a busy office, so there’s usually a stack of papers somewhere that needs looking at. It’s just how we work here in this part of Mumbai.
