Amar Cold Storage

Located right on State Highway No. 75 in Lambhvel, our place is hard to miss if you’re driving through. It’s a big, plain building that sits back a bit from the road. The first thing you notice when you walk inside is the drop in temperature, which is a relief during the summer but quite a shock if you aren't dressed for it. Outside, the yard is usually dusty from the trucks coming in and out from the highway. We spend a lot of time checking the gauges and making sure everything is running the way it should. It’s a lot of manual work, moving things around and keeping track of what goes where. The office is just a small room at the front with a couple of chairs and a lot of logbooks. We don't have many visitors except for the drivers and the farmers. There isn't much of a town right here, so we usually bring our own food or wait for the mobile canteen that stops by. The highway noise is constant, but after a while, you stop hearing the trucks. It’s a practical business, and we don’t spend much time on decorations or making things look fancy. The machines are the main thing. We keep them running day and night because that’s the job. It’s quiet in a different way inside the storage areas, just the hum of the cooling units. The metal chairs in the office are a bit squeaky too.
