Alka J Pandya

We’ve been here at Parvati Sadan in Ghatkopar East for a good while now. It’s a busy spot in the Raghuvir Industrial Estate, specifically room number four. Most people around here know us just by the name Alka J Pandya. It is not a huge fancy office or anything like that. Just a practical workspace where we get things done every day. Dealing with the heat and the noise of the industrial estate is just part of the routine. We start early, usually before the traffic gets too bad on the Bhanu stretch. Some days are slower than others, but we try to keep things moving. It gets a bit cramped with all the files and stuff lying around, but it works for us. Living and working in this part of Mumbai means you see a lot of the same faces every week. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. It is just a local setup handled by real people who live nearby. Sometimes the power flickers or the rain makes it hard to get to the door, but we manage. If you are walking through the estate, you’ll find us easily enough. We keep the door open mostly for some air. It's a simple life here, just doing what we need to do to keep the business going without making a big fuss about it. We’ve grown used to the quirks of this old building over the years.
