Akas Medical Equipment

We are located over in Ayavoo Colony, Aminjkarai, right in the T.S. Tower at number 19. Akas Medical Equipment is based on Navneethammal Street, which is a bit of a mouthful to say but a good place to be. The building is a bit older, and the elevator sometimes has a mind of its own, so many of us just take the stairs. Our space is filled with medical gear in various states—some in boxes, some out for testing. It’s a very clean environment, as you’d expect, but it’s definitely not a fancy medical suite. There are stacks of manuals everywhere and the smell of rubbing alcohol is pretty common. We spend a lot of time talking to doctors and clinic staff about their needs. Aminjkarai is a busy area, so there’s always something happening outside the windows. We have a small kitchenette where the tea is usually too strong, but it gets us through the day. It’s a straightforward operation where we focus on the equipment and making sure everything is in its right place. We’ve become a fixture in Ayavoo Colony over the years. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not; we just manage the medical supplies and equipment from our little corner of the tower. It’s a busy, sometimes cramped, but functional workspace for the whole team here. We just take it one day at a time with the inventory.
