We’re based in Gali No 3 at the Swamini Industrial Estate, right opposite Varun Industries in Vasai East. Being in Waliv Nanal Nagar means there’s always something going on nearby. Our shop is where we deal with all the electrical bits of cars and trucks. It’s a messy job, so our hands are usually stained with grease and bits of copper wire. We’ve got shelves full of alternators, starters, and batteries that have seen better days. The floor is often covered in old wires and tools that we haven't put away yet. It’s not a showroom; it’s a working garage. We have a small radio that plays local stations all day to keep us company while we’re poking around under hoods. When the monsoon hits, the rain drums so loud on the roof we can barely hear each other talk. We don't use big words or try to act like a corporate chain. We just look at the wiring, find the short, and fix it. People bring their vehicles to us because they know we don't mind getting our hands dirty to find the problem. Sometimes the work takes longer than we thought, so we stay late under the dim shop lights. It’s hard work, but we’ve been doing it long enough that it’s second nature. We just like keeping the engines starting and the lights working for the locals who depend on us.
