Ajramar Computers

You can find us in the Fort area, right on the ground floor of 139 Hornby Road. It’s shop number 1. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy this part of town is. There’s always a rush of people outside, and the noise from the street never really stops. Inside Ajramar Computers, it’s a bit quieter, but usually quite messy. We have computer parts everywhere—motherboards, old monitors, and cables tangling all over the place. I’ve been fixing machines here for years. Most people come in because their laptop stopped working or they need a part that’s hard to find. I spend a lot of time hunched over a workbench with a tiny screwdriver. It’s slow work and can be frustrating when you can't find the problem right away, but I enjoy the challenge. The shop is small and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. Customers usually wait at the counter while I take a quick look at their machines. Sometimes we have tea and talk about how much technology has changed since I first opened this place. It’s a bit of an old-school way of doing things, but I think people appreciate being able to talk to the person actually doing the repairs. We aren't a big chain, just a small shop in a historic part of the city, trying to keep everyone’s tech running. Every day is a bit different, but we stay busy. It stays interesting.
