Ajay Madan

If you look for Ajay Madan you will find me at Grant Road Old Nagardas Road. This area is quite busy and there is a lot of noise from the street but I have gotten used to it over the years. It is a typical Mumbai spot where space is tight and everyone is rushing around. My office is tucked away and it is where I handle all my professional matters. I have been here long enough that the regulars recognize me when I go out for tea. The work I do is mostly about getting things organized and making sure the details are right. I don't have a big sign or anything flashy. It is just a simple door with my name on it. Inside it is mostly books and files and a computer that has seen better days. I think people like coming here because it doesn't feel like a cold corporate building. It feels like a place where real work happens. Sometimes the monsoon rains make it a bit tough to get to the office but we manage. I spend my mornings catching up on emails and the rest of the day is usually meetings or phone calls. I don't try to be something I am not. I just want to do my job and go home at the end of the day feeling like I did something useful. It is a honest living and I enjoy the community here.
