Delta Computer Services is tucked into Office No. 2 at Shankar Shila Complex in Sector 8. Airoli is a busy place, and we've seen a lot of changes since we set up here. Mostly, we deal with computers that aren't doing what they're supposed to do. People bring in laptops that won't turn on or machines that are making weird noises. It’s a small office, and usually, there are parts and cables laying around on the benches. We don’t really go for that clean, corporate look because that’s not how we work. Fixing electronics is messy business. Sometimes a software update takes all afternoon, and other times it’s a quick fix that only takes five minutes. We try to be straight with people about what’s wrong and how much it’ll cost. There’s no point in making things sound more complicated than they are. Most of our day is spent staring at screens or taking screws out of plastic cases. The coffee machine in the corner is probably the most used thing in the office besides the screwdrivers. If you live in Sector 8, you probably know the building. We’ve been here long enough that we’ve become part of the background. It’s just us, working through the daily pile of repairs. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know our way around a motherboard. It’s simple work but it keeps us very busy.
