Ainsley Lewis

You can find us at number 4, St. Michael Bhavan. It is located right on Lady Jamshedji Road in Mahim. This is a very old and established part of Mumbai, and the building has that classic, sturdy feel to it. It is not one of those modern glass towers, which we actually prefer for our work. Ainsley Lewis operates out of this space. It can be a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes because we have accumulated so many books and old project files over the years. Being in Mahim is great for us because it is so central and easy to reach. We are very close to the church and the main road is always buzzing with activity. There is a lot of history in these streets and we like being part of that. Our office setup is quite simple. We have a couple of big wooden tables for laying out plans and sketches. We do not go for the high-end corporate look at all. It is more like a workspace that has evolved naturally over time. We have spent many years here, so the walls are covered with various notes and drawings. Sometimes the noise from the traffic on Lady Jamshedji Road gets a bit loud, but we are used to it by now. It is just the normal sound of the city life outside. We don't have any marketing people or a polished image. We just do our work and talk to people who come by to visit us.
