Aggarwal Traders

Aggarwal Traders is up on the second floor of the Dheer building, Office 34 to be exact. It’s right in Santacruz West, near Kasba Peth. If you’ve ever walked around here, you know how crowded it gets. We spend our days surrounded by stacks of files and the sound of the traffic coming up from the street. It’s a small office, nothing like those big corporate places you see on TV. We have a few desks, a couple of old chairs that creak, and a phone that never seems to stop ringing. Trading is mostly about talking to people and keeping track of where everything is going. We handle all sorts of stuff, and our ledger books are always full. Sometimes the lift in the building doesn't work, so we have to trudge up the stairs, which isn't fun in the summer heat. We don't have any big goals or anything like that; we just try to buy things at a fair price and sell them the same way. Most of our day is spent checking prices and making sure deliveries are on time. We usually have lunch together at our desks, talking about the news or whatever is happening in the neighborhood. It’s a plain way to make a living, but it suits us. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now and we know the local shops pretty well. It’s just how things are around here every single day.
