Afro Asiatic Exporters Mumbai operates out of Somanath Nivas, specifically in Room No 5. We are in Kajuwadi, which is in the Chakkala area of Andheri East. If you know Mumbai, you know that Andheri East is always buzzing with people and traffic, and Kajuwadi is no different. Our space is just a single room, really. It’s small and can get quite warm when the humidity picks up, but it is where everything happens for us. We don’t have a fancy showroom or a big staff of people in suits. It is mostly just a couple of us handling the export paperwork and talking to suppliers on the phone. The room is packed with boxes and files, so there isn’t much space to walk around, but we have a system that works for us. Outside, the street is always loud with the sounds of the city, but once you step into Room 5, we just focus on the task at hand. We have been in this spot for a long time, and we like being right in the middle of the action in Mumbai. It isn't a glamorous job, and the office definitely isn't fancy, but it is honest work. We spend our days making sure shipments are moving and that the details are correct. It’s just a basic, practical place for a small export business.
