You can find us working at Advanced Computers & Mobiles India Pvt. Ltd. inside Unit No. 009 of the Yusuf Building. We’re right on the ground floor, which is handy because the junction of Mahatma Gandhi Road and Veer Nariman Road gets incredibly busy at all hours. There’s always a lot of noise from the traffic and pedestrians outside, but once you come inside, it’s mostly just the sound of computer fans and people talking about motherboards. We deal with all sorts of computer parts and mobile phone repairs. It’s a bit of a cramped space because we have so many boxes and spare parts lying around on every surface. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find the exact cable or screw someone is looking for. We aren't a big, shiny tech store with people in matching uniforms. We’re just a group of guys who know how to fix things that are broken. We spend a lot of time staring at small screens and soldering parts. The building itself has a lot of history, and you can really see it in the thick, old walls. We’ve been here for a good while, through all the changes in this neighborhood. It’s a fast-paced environment because everyone seems to want their devices fixed yesterday. We do our best to keep up with the pile of work on our desks. There’s a tea vendor just outside the main door where we grab a quick drink between the morning and afternoon rush.
