Ach Management Consultants Ltd is located in Ghatkopar, Mumbai. Anyone who knows Mumbai knows how busy Ghatkopar can get at almost any hour. It is a mix of everything. Our office is right in the middle of that energy. We aren’t tucked away in some quiet suburb with no noise. You can hear the trains and the traffic from the windows if you listen closely. It’s a busy environment, which probably helps us stay awake when the work gets a bit dry. We are a limited company, but that is just a legal thing on the papers. In reality, it’s a small group of us sitting around desks in a room that is probably too small for all the files we have accumulated. We spend a lot of time talking through projects. Sometimes we disagree and it gets a bit loud, but that’s just how we work through things. There is no corporate handbook telling us how to speak to each other. We just use common sense. The office is old, and the lift in the building is a bit slow, so most of us just take the stairs to save time. It keeps us moving. We don’t have a fancy lobby with a fountain or a receptionist. We have a water cooler and a stack of newspapers. People come to us for management advice because we’ve been around the block a few times. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tasks.
