About Prompt Computers

My desk is usually a mess of screwdrivers and those tiny screws that always seem to roll away when you aren’t looking. We’ve been here on the ground floor of Road 323 along Amrut Keslav Naik Marg for a while now. It’s a busy spot but we like it. Most days it is just us trying to figure out why a motherboard isn't clicking or cleaning out dust from old fans that sound like jet engines. The shop isn't fancy. There are boxes stacked in the corner from last month’s delivery that I still haven't moved properly. People drop by because they know where we are, right near the main road. Sometimes the light flickers a bit when the heavy machinery starts up next door but we just keep working. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the door open to catch whatever breeze comes off the street. We have a few chairs for people to sit while they wait, but mostly they just stand and chat while we poke at their hard drives. It’s a lot of testing cables and waiting for bars to load on a screen. Nothing really exciting happens, just the usual work of keeping these machines running so folks can do their own jobs. We lose track of time sometimes when a tricky problem comes up.
