Able Classes

If you walk down St John Baptist Road in Bandra West, you’ll find us at 23/C Lily Apts. We are quite close to the Barista, so it’s easy for people to find the building even if they aren't from this specific part of Mumbai. Able Classes has been here for a good while, serving the families around the 400050 area. It’s a nice, leafy part of town, though it gets crowded on the weekends with all the shoppers and cars. Our setup is pretty basic because we think the teaching is more important than the furniture or the decor. We have rows of desks where students from various schools come to sit and go over their lessons. It’s not a high-pressure environment; we try to keep things relaxed so the kids actually want to show up after a long day at school. We talk to the parents quite a bit, mostly just standing by the door or the staircase of Lily Apts when they come to pick up their kids in the evening. We handle a mix of subjects, and there’s usually a bit of chatter before the sessions actually start. Some of the students have been coming to us since they were small, and now they’re preparing for their big boards. We don’t use any fancy technology, just books, paper, and plenty of patience. The rooms have large windows that let in some light, which is nice. It’s just a small, local business trying to help the neighborhood kids stay on track with their studies. We don’t have a big marketing plan; word of mouth has always been enough for us here.
