Abid Sikandar

Started out in White Tower here in Jogeshwari West a few years back. It is a busy area and the building is easy to find once you are in the neighborhood. Usually, the day starts with a lot of noise from the street, but we get used to it. My name is Abid and I have been handling things here mostly on my own or with a little help from some local guys when the work gets heavy. The office is in C/102. It isn't a very big space, just a couple of desks and some chairs, plus the usual paperwork stacked up everywhere. Mumbai is always fast, so we try to keep up with everything that comes our way. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we just take the stairs. Most of our day is spent on the phone or working on the computer. We do not really have a fancy reception or anything like that. People usually just drop by if they need something or give a call first. The weather gets really humid in the summers, so the fan is always running at full speed. We have known the neighbors for a while now, and it is a pretty decent spot for a small setup like ours. We just focus on getting the daily tasks done and making sure nothing gets left behind for the next morning. It is a simple way of working, nothing too complicated or flashy.
