At Charni Road 60/7, you really feel the pulse of Mumbai every single day. Abhinav Systems is based in this building, and it’s a very straightforward operation. The area around Charni Road is always moving, with people rushing to the station and the constant sound of horns and trains in the distance. Our office is in a small unit, number 60/7, which we have occupied for quite some time now. It’s a tight space, typical for this part of the city, but we make it work. There are stacks of equipment and various systems we are working on at any given time. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area. If you come by, you just walk right into the middle of whatever we are doing. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the floor has some scuffs from moving heavy boxes around, but we don't worry about that too much. We are more concerned with the actual work. Lunch usually means grabbing something quickly from a stall downstairs or eating at our desks. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s a steady one. Being at Charni Road means we are right in the thick of things, and even though it’s crowded and loud, we wouldn’t really want to be anywhere else. It’s just how we do things here, day in and day out.
