You can find me at 201 Kalpasutra on Sarojini Road. It's in Vile Parle West, which is a part of Mumbai that never seems to take a breath. The building is one of those typical residential-cum-commercial structures you see all over this side of town. Being on the second floor means I can see the street below, which is always packed with cars and people heading toward the station. It gets pretty loud with the planes flying overhead every few minutes, but after a while, you stop noticing the noise. My space inside is just a couple of rooms where I keep my equipment and files. It’s a bit cramped because I tend to hold onto things longer than I should, but I know where everything is. Sarojini Road is a good spot because there are plenty of places to grab a quick snack or a tea when I need a break from the screen. I don't have any big staff or a receptionist sitting at the front. Usually, if the bell rings, I’m the one who gets up to open the door. The commute here can be a bit of a headache during the rainy season, but that’s just life in Mumbai. I’ve been in this spot for a while and I don't see myself moving anytime soon. It’s not fancy, but it serves its purpose for the kind of work I do every day. Most of my clients are regulars who know the drill and don't mind the clutter.
