Aarti Gupta

I’m Aarti Gupta and I run my beauty work out of a small space here in Borivali West, at 101. It is not a big salon with a lot of staff or anything like that. It is mostly just me taking care of the women in this building and the ones nearby. I’ve been doing this for a long time, so I know most of my clients by name and I know exactly how they like their hair done. The room is quite simple with a comfortable chair and a good mirror. I have a small trolley where I keep my rollers, clips, and bottles. It’s a very personal way of working. People call me on my phone to see if I’m free before they come up. Sometimes I’m busy cooking or doing laundry, so I tell them to come after an hour. It’s a very relaxed way of doing things. I don't have any big signs outside, just a small one on the door. Borivali West is a crowded place, but inside 101, it is usually quiet and peaceful. I do threading, facials, and sometimes I help with sarees for weddings. I like the independence of working for myself. I don't use any fancy marketing tricks. Word of mouth is how most people find me. It's a small life but it suits me well and I like being my own boss.
