Aangan Novelty

Aangan Novelty is part of the Gokuldham Shopping Centre, which is right near the Gokuldham School in Goregaon East. It’s a busy little hub in the Sindhi Colony area. Being in a shopping center means we are surrounded by other shops, so there’s a nice sense of community among the owners. We usually start the day with a bit of a chat with the person in the shop next door while we pull up our shutters. Our store is filled with all kinds of small items and novelties. It’s the kind of place where people come to browse when they aren't quite sure what they’re looking for. We have things tucked into every corner, so you have to take your time looking around. The school nearby brings in a lot of activity, especially in the afternoons when parents are waiting to pick up their kids. We see a lot of familiar faces every day. The atmosphere in Goregaon East is quite residential, so it feels more like a village sometimes. We don’t go in for big sales pitches or flashy signs. We just keep our shelves stocked and try to be helpful when someone asks a question. It’s a modest way to earn a living, but we enjoy the daily interactions with our regular customers. The shopping center can get quite crowded on the weekends, but we just take it as it comes. It’s our little space in the colony, and we've been here for years.
