Aakar Dyes & Chemicals

We are located at Maheshwar Kripa, right on R. B. Mehta Marg in Ghatkopar East. Aakar Dyes & Chemicals has been around this neighborhood for a bit. It’s a busy area, especially during the day with everyone heading to the station. We deal with dyes and various chemicals, mostly supplying to smaller units or whoever needs them. Our shop isn't very large, but we keep what we need in stock or get it brought in. It gets pretty dusty with all the bags around, but that’s normal for this line of work. Ghatkopar is a nice place to work out of, feels like a real community here. People stop by to ask questions or just to see if we have something specific in stock. We don't really do much advertising, mostly it’s just people who have known us for years. Some days the phones don't stop ringing and other days it’s quiet enough to actually organize the shelves properly. We try to be helpful when someone comes in looking for a particular color or chemical grade. It’s not always easy to find the exact thing, but we try to look through our records. Most of the staff has been here a long time. We aren't a big corporation, just a local business trying to keep things steady. It’s a lot of manual work, moving containers and checking labels. Nothing too fancy happens here, we just stick to what we know. We close up around six and do it all again tomorrow.
