Aaina Family Beauty Parlour

Mazgaon 46/146 is where you’ll find our little place, Aaina Family Beauty Parlour. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes because we get whole families coming in at once. You’ll have the kids running around while the mom gets her hair done. We don't mind the noise much since it’s been like that since we opened. The shop is simple with just the basic stuff we need to do hair and threading. We spend a lot of time cleaning up hair from the floor. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the neighborhood gossip too. Everybody knows everybody around here in Mazgaon. We’ve had the same chairs for a long time, but they’re comfortable enough. Sometimes the power goes out and we just light some candles and keep talking until it comes back on. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. We buy our supplies from the market nearby. It’s just a normal job for us. We drink a lot of tea during the afternoon slump. Most of the time, we’re just busy trying to fit everyone in before we close up for the night. It’s a good life and we like seeing the same faces every week. We try to keep things easy and honest for the folks who live around here. There is always a lot of chatter and the sound of scissors.
