A U M M Innovations Llp is basically just us working out of Mangaldas House on Lamington Road. If you know Mumbai, you know how Grant Road gets during the day. It is crowded and loud, but that’s where the energy is. We are on the first floor in Flat 1/A&B. The building has been there for a long time and it feels like old Mumbai. Sometimes the lift acts up, so we just take the stairs. It’s a practical place. We do our innovation work here without much fuss. Most days involve a lot of chai and looking at the street from our window. It’s not a fancy corporate glass building, but it works for us. We’ve been at Plot-393 for a while now. Getting here is easy if you take the local train to Grant Road station and just walk down. The office inside is a bit tight with all the equipment, but we manage. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big lobbies. We just get the work done. The walls could use a new coat of paint maybe, but we are too busy with our projects to worry about that right now. Most people who visit us are surprised by how much stuff we fit into this flat. It’s just how we operate. We like being in the heart of the electronics market because everything we need is just a few steps away.
