Our shop, A To Z Electricals Sons, is tucked away on Murlidhar Street in the Kalbadevi area. If you know Mumbai, you know how packed these streets can get. It’s number 152, and it’s usually overflowing with boxes of wires, switches, and all sorts of electrical components. My family started things here, and we’ve just kept it going. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. You come in, tell us what you need, and we find it in the stacks. There isn't much room to move around in the shop because we try to keep as much stock as possible. The noise from the street is constant, with handcarts and motorcycles squeezed into every gap. We don’t use any corporate language or have a big marketing plan. We just know our products and we know our customers. It’s a lot of dusty shelves and old ledgers, but it works for us. We’ve been part of this market for decades and we’ve seen it change so much, yet it stays the same in many ways. It’s a family-run place where we just focus on the day-to-day sales. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s just a real shop for people who need real electrical parts. We open early and stay until the last customer is sorted out. That’s just the Kalbadevi way. We don't need fancy signs to tell people what we do.
