A Square

A Square is located in Lakdawala House, right on the main stretch of S V Road in Malad West. It’s a very busy road, so there is always the sound of horns and traffic filtering in through the windows. We are right opposite the State Bank of India, which helps people find us if they get lost. The building itself has been around for a while and has that solid, older feel to it. Our space is functional. We have desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and plenty of work spread out. It isn’t the kind of office you see in magazines, it’s a place where things actually get done. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working through files. Since we are on the ground level, we see a lot of people walking by on their way to the station. Sometimes they pop their head in to ask for directions, and we don't mind. We keep a water dispenser in the corner because the heat on S V Road can be something else. The lighting is a bit old-fashioned, but it works fine for what we do. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who have worked together long enough to know the routine without talking too much. It’s a simple operation. We show up, handle the tasks for the day, and try to stay organized despite the constant flow of work. It is what it is.
