The office is up on the fifth floor here in Civil Lines. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the sun hits the windows directly, but we have a decent view of the area behind National Collage. Most days are just spent looking at site plans and talking to contractors on the phone. We started out small and stayed that way for a bit, just focusing on local buildings around Khar College Road. It’s a busy street, especially when the college students are out and about. Sometimes the lift in this building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which is quite a workout for 506. We’ve got some old desks and a lot of rolled-up blueprints in the corner that nobody has touched in months. It’s mostly just us trying to keep things organized while dealing with the usual paperwork that comes with building stuff. People stop by to ask about plots or how things are progressing on-site. There is a tea stall nearby that we visit way too often when the office feels a bit cramped. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home now. We just do our work and go home when the sun goes down, hoping the traffic on the way back isn't too bad. That's pretty much how things go for us day after day in this part of town.
