A One Gift Point

Being right near Vikhroli Railway Station makes A One Gift Point a very busy spot during the commute hours. We are located in the Sakinaka area of Vikhroli East. You can hear the trains if you listen closely, but usually, the noise from the street covers it up. People are always in a rush here. They hop off the train and realize they forgot a gift for a dinner party or a birthday, so they duck into our shop. It's not a place where people linger for hours, though some do. We have a lot of variety because you never know what someone might need at the last minute. The shop front is a bit narrow, so we have to be smart about how we stack things. I’ve lived around Vikhroli for most of my life, so I know the shortcuts and the people. We don't have a big marketing plan or a social media person. I just put a sign out front and hope for the best. Sometimes the rain gets a bit heavy and we have to pull the shutters down halfway to keep the floor dry. It’s a simple operation. We deal with all sorts of people, from students to office workers. Every day is a little different depending on who walks in from the station. We just keep the door open and wait for the next train to pull in.
