Our place, 5Computers, is located at 20/14 Parvati Gaikar on Hill Road. This is right in the Sion-Chunabhatti area of Mumbai, so you can imagine it gets quite busy around here. Mumbai is always moving, and Hill Road is no exception. Our office is tucked into the building, and it’s a bit of a tight squeeze once you get everyone inside along with the equipment. We’ve been in this 400022 zip code for a while now, and we are used to the pace of the city. The noise from the traffic and the local trains is just part of the background music for us while we work. We spend most of our hours looking at screens or fixing things that people bring in. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy from morning until night. Sometimes the monsoon rains make getting to the office a bit of a challenge, but we show up anyway. We don't really have a big sign out front, so you have to know what you are looking for to find the right door. Inside, it’s mostly desks and shelves filled with parts. We aren't big on corporate rules or formal dress, so it’s a pretty relaxed atmosphere among the staff. We just try to get through the daily pile of work and help whoever comes in. It’s a typical Mumbai small business life, with tea and local gossip.
