Over here in Andheri East, specifically at 5 108 Nityanand Nagar 4, we are right in the middle of Mumbai’s busy life. 3I Infotech has this spot here and it is where we spend our long hours. Mumbai is always humid, so the office usually feels a bit stuffy until the fans get going. We have our desks lined up and everyone is pretty much focused on their own screen most of the day. It is a lot of technical work, the kind of stuff that does not sound very exciting when you talk about it, but it is important to keep things running. You can hear the trains sometimes if you listen closely, and the rain in the monsoon season is really something else against the windows. We are not a high-rise office with a view of the ocean. We are just on a regular street in a busy neighborhood. We eat our tiffins together at lunch and talk about local things, not just work. The office has that lived-in feel, with old mugs and a few plants that someone forgets to water sometimes. We do not try to sound like a big fancy firm. We are just people doing our jobs in Andheri, making sure the tech side of things does not fall apart. It is a lot of routine, but it is our routine and it works for us.
