Patel Engineering Works

We've been at 1, Lati Plot for a long time now. It’s right behind Mahesh Hotel, so if you're looking for us, that's usually the best landmark. Most mornings, we get here early to open up the shop and get the machines warmed up. It's usually pretty noisy inside once everything starts running, but that's just how engineering shops are. We handle a lot of metal work and fixing parts. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy with scraps, but we try to keep things organized enough so we can find our tools. The guys here have been doing this for years, so we know our way around the lathe and the drills pretty well. It’s not a fancy office or anything. Just a solid workshop where we get the jobs done as they come in. Sometimes we're busy with big orders, and other days it's just small repairs for people nearby. If we're not at the bench, we're probably grabbing a quick tea or talking about how to fix a stubborn piece of machinery. We don't have a big reception area, so you usually just walk right into the work area. It gets warm in the afternoons, especially in the summer, but we keep the fans going. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out, right here in the plot. We've seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We just keep our heads down and work on the tasks at hand until the day is over and we can lock up.
