A-One Machine Tools

A-One Machine Tools is situated right at Moon Nagar Chowk. We are very close to Vishal Machine Tools, so this little corner of the area is quite well known for hardware and machinery. Being at a chowk means there is never a dull moment. There is always a lot of noise from the traffic and people shouting across the street. Our space is mostly taken up by heavy machine tools and spare parts. It’s a gritty kind of place. We don’t have air conditioning, so we keep the doors wide open and let the air circulate. You’ll usually see us moving heavy crates or cleaning some equipment. The floor is stained with oil in a few places, which is expected. We talk to a lot of mechanics and factory workers who come by looking for specific parts they can’t find elsewhere. We’ve built a bit of a reputation just by being here and having what people need. It’s not a fancy showroom. We have metal shelves that are a bit rusty at the edges and a desk that has seen better days. But the tools are good and they do the job. The guys who work here have grease under their fingernails most of the time. We take our lunch breaks in the back or grab something from the vendors at the chowk. It’s a local business through and through, just trying to keep things running for our customers in the neighborhood.
