World Wide Exim

Our spot is right by the Mahendra Nagar Chokdi on Halvad Road. There's a CNG pump close by, which makes it easy for people to find us. World Wide Exim is the name on the door. It’s a dusty spot, mostly because of all the trucks passing through the junction. We spend our days in the office, dealing with the logistics of export and import. There is always a lot of noise from the road, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We have a small team here, just a few of us who know how to handle the customs papers and the shipping manifests. It’s not fancy work, but it’s what we do. We often have drivers stopping in to ask for directions or to drop off documents. We keep a pot of tea going most of the day. The office is small, but it fits what we need. We don't have a big corporate structure, just a few desks and some old filing cabinets. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it's quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We just take it as it comes. It's a practical business in a practical location. We keep a big map on the wall with pins in it to show where all our shipments are going, though some of the pins have fallen off over time. It's been there for years and we just keep adding to it.
