Our place is located right on the Kandla Road, near Timbadi Patiya. It’s a busy stretch of highway, and there is always a lot of dust and noise from the passing trucks. Being in Morbi means tiles are pretty much all we think about. The plant is quite large, but it’s not exactly a quiet environment. We spend our hours watching the kilns and making sure the vitrified tiles come out looking okay. It’s a lot of manual work and checking the machines. Sometimes things break down and we have to fix them on the fly. The office is just a small room where we keep the logs and drink way too much chai. We don’t have any slick sales pitches here. Most of the guys have been working in the tile industry for years and we just know how the process goes. It gets really hot near the ovens, especially in the summer months. You can see the stack of finished boxes from the road. We try to stay organized, but with so much movement, it’s always a bit messy. It is what it is. We are just a group of people making tiles day in and day out. If you drive past the 8-A National Highway, you’ll probably see our sign. It's a straightforward operation. No big secrets, just a lot of heat and hard floors and long shifts. We just want to get the work done and go home.
