We are situated on Old Ghutu Road. It’s not the newest part of town, but it suits Akruti Ceramic Pvt. Ltd. just fine. The building has been here for a while and it shows its age in some spots, but it's sturdy enough for what we do. We spend our days managing the ceramic production. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping an eye on the kilns. We don’t really have a fancy reception area or anything like that. When people come by, they usually just walk straight into the workspace to find someone. We like it that way. It’s more direct. The road outside can get a bit bumpy, especially after the monsoon, but we are used to it by now. We have a small crew and we all just do a bit of everything. There’s no big hierarchy here. If something needs cleaning, we clean it. If a truck needs unloading, we all help out. It’s a very practical way to run a business. We don't spend money on big ads or anything. We just focus on the ceramics and hope the day goes smoothly. Sometimes things break down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing them, which is just how it goes. We’ve been at this address for a long time and we know most of the people around here. It is just work.
