Our workplace is at House N-8 on Thathera Street. It is a busy street, and you can always hear the sounds of the neighborhood coming through the windows. T M Exports has been here for a good while now. The house is old and has a lot of character, though the stairs are a bit narrow for carrying big boxes. We use the ground floor mostly for the actual work and the upstairs for the files and records. It is a bit cramped, but we make it work. Most days are spent talking to suppliers and checking on the status of different shipments. We have a small table where we sit and go over the schedules over some tea. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the exports to worry about that. It feels more like a home than a corporate office, which is fine by us. We know everyone on Thathera Street, and they know us. It is a simple life of managing goods and making sure the transport stays on track. We just take things one day at a time and try to stay organized amidst all the boxes and tape. The floorboards creak a little in the corner near the window, but we have just put a heavy filing cabinet there to keep it steady. We also have an old clock that chimes every hour, though it is usually a few minutes slow.
