Shalini Exports

Shalini Exports is our little operation over in Malviya Nagar, tucked right behind the Chaddha Cinema. It’s a pretty lively area to be in, especially in the evenings when the movies are letting out, but we mostly stick to ourselves and our work. The office isn't much to look at, just a couple of rooms where we keep the records and handle all the paperwork for the shipping stuff. We’ve been here for quite a few years now, so we know most of the people on the block. It’s mostly just a few of us working here every day, making sure the boxes get packed and the trucks show up when they are supposed to. Sometimes the traffic in the lane gets a bit backed up with the cinema crowds, so we have to plan our loading around that. It's a bit of a juggle. We don't really go for anything fancy or corporate, we just focus on getting the work done so we can go home. My uncle started this place a long time ago and we just kept it going because it’s what we know how to do. The tea guy around the corner knows our order by heart now. We spend a lot of time on the phone tracking where everything is. It's a lot of mundane stuff, really, but it keeps us busy and pays the rent. If you’re trying to find us, just look for the cinema and head around back.
