Shahzade Ali & Sons

Shahzade Ali & Sons is tucked away in Feel Khana, right near the Masjid Banjaran. It’s an old part of the neighborhood where everyone knows everyone. My father started this, and now my brothers and I keep it going. We do things the old way because that’s how we were taught. Our workshop isn't very large, but we make it work. There is always a pot of tea on the stove for whoever stops by. We deal with various materials, mostly whatever the customers need for their homes or shops. It’s a lot of manual labor. We don't use big machines for everything. Sometimes the delivery truck can't get all the way down the narrow street, so we have to carry things by hand. It’s just part of being in this location. We don't have a storefront with big glass windows. People just come to the door and ask for us. We handle our correspondence through P.O. Box No.133. We aren't looking to grow into a massive company. We just want to do enough work to take care of the family and keep the name going. It’s honest work, and we’re proud of that. The noise from the mosque and the neighbors is just the background of our days. It feels like home because it is. We don't need much more than that to keep us happy and busy.
