Sachdev Beej Bhandar

Our shop, Sachdev Beej Bhandar, is located right at Mukherji Chowk 101. It’s a very central spot and usually quite noisy outside. If you know the chowk, you definitely know how the traffic and people are always moving through there at all hours. We’ve been in this specific spot for a good bit of time now. Inside, the shop always smells like the stuff we sell, which is something you just get used to after a while. It’s not a big place at all, just a standard shop layout with things stacked wherever they fit. We spend most of our time talking to people coming in from the nearby villages and towns. Usually, it’s just the same routine every single morning, opening the metal shutters and getting everything ready for the day. The address 101 is easy to remember once you’re actually in the square. It’s an old building, nothing modern or sleek about it, which actually suits us just fine. Sometimes we sit on the wooden stools outside when it’s a bit quiet, but that doesn't happen very often. People in the area know us by name. We don’t really do any advertising because the location does all that work for us. Mukherji Chowk is always busy, so there’s always something happening right outside our front door. It’s a simple setup. We keep things on the shelves and try to keep track of everything in our ledgers. It gets a bit cramped when several people come in at once, but we manage to make it work. Just a regular day-to-day business for us. No big corporate vibes here, just us at the shop.
