M. J. K. Exports

You can find M. J. K. Exports at Ashrafi House. It’s located in Mufti Tola. This is an older part of town with narrow streets and lots of character. The building itself has been around for a long time. We work out of a few rooms on the lower level. It stays relatively cool inside because of the thick walls. Mufti Tola is a busy neighborhood. There are always people walking by and scooters zooming around. We have to be careful when we are moving goods out to the main road. Our setup is quite simple. We have some wooden tables and a lot of boxes stacked against the walls. It’s not a modern office. We prefer it this way. It feels more like home. We’ve been doing export work from this house for a while. Sometimes the electricity cuts out for an hour or two. We just take a break then. We handle everything ourselves, from the first check to the final packing. It’s a lot of handiwork. We don't use any big machines. Just our hands and some simple tools. The atmosphere is relaxed but we stay busy. We know all the shopkeepers nearby. It’s a good place to be. We just focus on the work and let the days go by. Sometimes we sit on the steps and talk for a bit before closing up. It's a simple life.
