If you look right across from the Katghar Railway Station on Old Rampur Road, you’ll find us. The trains coming in and out make the windows rattle a bit, but you stop noticing it after the first week. We spend most of our time dealing with the metal goods that come through here. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or packing material, and there’s always a crate that needs to be moved out of the way. Working near the station means there’s always people moving around outside. It gets busy during the morning rush. We have a small crew and most of us have been here long enough to know where everything is kept, even if the filing system looks like a mess to anyone else. We don’t have any big corporate meetings or anything like that. We just talk over the desks or while we’re standing in the warehouse area. The heat can be a bit much in the summer since the ceiling is high and the fans only do so much. We drink a lot of water and try to get the heavy lifting done early before the sun really hits. Sometimes a shipment gets delayed and we have to spend the afternoon on the phone trying to figure out where the driver went. It’s just how things go on Old Rampur Road. We stay busy and keep the doors open for business every day.
