We are tucked away at 84 Shri Hari Niwas in Gulal Gali, right off Reti Street. It’s one of those narrow lanes where you have to move to the side if a scooter wants to pass by. The building is old but it has a lot of character, and we have been in this spot for quite a long time. Inside, we have stacks of materials and finished pieces all over the place. It’s a creative mess, I suppose you could say. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to use every inch of the walls and even some of the ceiling to hang things. The light in Gulal Gali isn't great, so we rely on some old fluorescent tubes that hum a little when they are on. Most of our day is spent working on small details and chatting with the people who live in the same building. It feels more like a community than just a place of business. We drink a lot of tea throughout the day to keep ourselves going. Sometimes the cat from next door comes in and sleeps on a pile of fabric, and we just leave her be. We don't have a fancy website or a big sign outside. People usually find us because they know the area or someone told them where we are. It’s a quiet life in a busy street. We just keep making things day after day and enjoy the small moments.
